About Us

Spalding Athletic was founded in 1944, and used to play on what used to be known as Clay Lake field, the Parish Church Day school now stands on the field, which is where we still play most of our games. Some teams play at Monkhouse Lane and one team at the Sir Halley Stewart Field. The team used to be run by Mont Pell who was a fireman. Team colours were black and white stripes. In 1954-1956 Pete Budd and John Powell were mascots during that time.
